While January already has Restaurant Week, Staten Island Restaurant Month, and recession specials, now comes word from Crain's that Restaurant Week could extend through the entire month of February.
“I think that our restaurants would do it,” Tracy Nieporent, chairman of the NYC & Co.'s restaurant committee, told the business paper.
Even more encouraging, Le Cirque has already signed on and extended its Restaurant Week deal through February.
For Restaurant Week, more than 250 locations are offering three-course prix-fixe lunches for $24.07 and diners for $35 - excluding drinks, tax and tip.
In addition to Le Cirque, participating restaurants include Telepan, Gramercy tavern, Spice Market and Tabla.
Currently, the official dates for Winter Restaurant Week (technically, two weeks,) are Jan. 18 through Jan. 23 and Jan. 25 to Jan. 30.
