Bomb Threat Forces Evacuation of Long Island Airport, No Device Found

A regional airport on Long Island was evacuated Wednesday as authorities investigated a reported bomb threat, but officials said no device was found.

Suffolk police say they got a call about a threat at Republic Airport in Farmingdale shortly before 12:30 p.m.

The building was searched and nothing was found.

The airport supports recreational and business flying, but not commercial flights, according to its website.
