SWAT Team Arrests NJ Man on Weapons Charges

Authorities descended on his Raritan home Friday

A New Jersey man has been arrested for allegedly stockpiling and selling weapons, authorities said.

SWAT teams, local police, a K-9 unit and the state police bomb squad descended on James Patrick Donovan's residence Friday. The 37-year-old was arrested without incident, according to the the Hunterdon County Prosecutor's Office.

The prosecutor's office says detectives received information that Donovan was stockpiling and selling assault weapons, ammunition and explosives in his residence.

The prosecutor's office says a bomb squad has been clearing the residence.

Prosecutor Anthony Kearns says law enforcement didn't want to take any chances with Donovan.

The prosecutor's office says it's unclear if Donovan has retained a lawyer.
