Rainy Easter Weekend in Store

Easter weekend started out rainy, windy and cold -- and the dampness is expected to linger through Sunday.

Heavy rain doused the tri-state area Saturday morning and continued on and off into the afternoon. Scattered showers continue into Sunday, but partly cloudy skies will help the high 60-degree temperatures feel a bit warmer.

Winds will be strong with gusts of 10 to 20 miles per hour, so keep hold of your Easter bonnet.

Scattered showers continue to menace the tri-state area looking ahead to the work week, with thunderstorms threatening parts of the area Monday, Wednesday and Thursday.

Take heart, New Yorkers. At this point, we're looking at highs in the 70 with sunshine on Tuesday.
