Drab, Rainy Forecast for This Weekend

Rain is on the way for the weekend, and the tri-state won't see much sunshine either day.

Storm Team 4 is forecasting clouds to thicken by late Saturday morning, with rain arriving in the afternoon. Temperatures will reach a high of about 52.

The heaviest rain comes Saturday evening and into the overnight hours.

As much as 2 inches is likely, with 3 inches possible in some areas.

The steady rain tapers to showers Sunday, and winds will make it feel chilly and raw, with temperatures only in the middle 40s.

Higher elevations in northwest New Jersey, the Catskills and the upper Hudson Valley could see some wet snowflakes, but no significant accumulation.

Clouds may finally erode on Monday, giving way to afternoon sunshine with highs in the upper 50s.

Nice spring weather is on the way, though. Highs Tuesday and Wednesday look to be in the low 60s, with some sunshine.
