Scattered Showers, Thunderstorms Possible Ahead of Sunny Skies and Mild Temperatures Wednesday

A cold front is working its way through the tri-state Tuesday evening, touching off some more scattered showers and thunderstorms in another day of wet weather before a beautiful Wednesday, Storm Team 4 says.

Dry conditions will return as high pressure builds in behind the departing front, according to Storm Team 4, with lows dropping into the 60s for the city and surrounding suburbs, and to the 50s in outlying areas.

Expect sunny skies and mild temperatures Wednesday as high pressure moves in, with highs generally in the mid-80s for New York City and northeast New Jersey, and in the low 80s elsewhere.

Even better, Storm Team 4 says, the mugginess will be gone Wednesday, if only for a day.
