A 16-year-old boy was fatally shot late New Year's Eve on a street corner in Queens, police say.
Officers responded to a report of a shooting at 11:30 p.m. at the corner of 109 Avenue and Merrick Boulevard and found a teenager shot once in the head, investigators said.
The victim was later identified as Jihad Jackson, of the Rosedale neighborhood in Queens, police said.
No arrest has been made.
