Woman Jumps Out Window to Escape Home Invasion in Queens

She fled from the second floor and suffered serious injuries.

A 38-year-old woman jumped from a second-story window to flee a home invasion at her apartment in Queens, police said.

Authorities said the woman was sweeping the vestibule of the apartment building on 202nd Street in Hollis on Monday when two men forced her at gunpoint into her apartment.

There were two children in the home at the time.

The woman told police she was able to get free from the men and jump out the window.

She suffered serious injuries, including a broken back. She is in stable condition at the hospital.

Police are investigating.
