Essex County prosecutors say Newark police found 29-year-old Ernest Bradley around 12:40 a.m. Sunday when they responded to reports of shots fired near Avon and Ridgewood avenues in Newark

The slaying of a New Jersey man found shot to death inside a parked car Sunday has been ruled a homicide.

Essex County prosecutors say Newark police found 29-year-old Ernest Bradley around 12:40 a.m. Sunday when they responded to reports of shots fired near Avon and Ridgewood avenues in Newark.

Prosecutors say Bradley was shot multiple times, but a motive for the slaying has not been determined.

Further details on the shooting have not been disclosed, including what type of weapon was used or how many shooters may have been involved.

The deadly shooting comes two days after 44-year-old Michael Franklin was shot and killed a few blocks away from where Bradley was found. But it's not yet known if the shootings are connected.
