Officials say a chemistry building at Princeton University was evacuated after a small amount of hazardous materials spilled inside a laboratory on the school's central New Jersey campus.

University officials confirmed the spill occurred around 7:20 p.m. Tuesday on the third floor of the Frick Chemistry Laboratory on Washington Road.

NJ.com reports firefighters and hazardous materials specialists from the Trenton Fire Department responded to the scene around 8:30 p.m. to assist Princeton Fire Department members and university officers with the spill.

University officials provided no details on how the accident occurred, but said in a statement that no one was injured.
