President Bush to Visit West Point

President Bush is scheduled to visit the U.S. Military Academy to meet with cadets this week.

Tuesday's planned visit likely will be Bush's last visit to West Point before leaving office.

The president is to fly from Washington to the Stewart Air National Guard Base in New Windsor on Air Force One, then fly from Stewart to West Point on the presidential helicopter, Marine One.

At West Point, he is expected to make public remarks about U.S. defense and then meet privately with senior cadets.

Bush last visited West Point in 2006, speaking at the commencement for the first class to graduate after the September 11th, 2001, terrorist attacks.

Today's cadets all entered West Point after the September 11th attacks and the start of the war in Iraq.
