Cops Investigate Possible Kidnapping of Teen in Brooklyn

Police are investigating a possible abduction after surveillance video shows what appears to be a teenage boy being locked in the trunk of a Nissan Altima outside a home in Brooklyn and driven away, authorities say.

Officials say the potential victim is seen getting out of the driver's side rear door of the car, which was double parked outside a house on Marine Avenue, and getting into the trunk.

As the person gets into the trunk, a man gets out of the driver's side door, walks to the back of the car and shuts the trunk before getting back into the vehicle and driving away.

The vehicle was last seen traveling east on Marine Avenue toward Fort Hamilton Parkway around 2:30 p.m. Sunday. Authorities say it's a dark Nissan, possibly a 2007-2012 model.

Police say the person who got into the trunk appears to be 10 to 15 years old.

Police released surveillance video (above) that shows the person getting into the trunk and the vehicle driving on Fourth Avenue near 100th Street and turning onto Marine Avenue.

No missing persons reports match the description of the person who got into the trunk, police said.

Anyone with information about the car or the possible victim is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS.
