Poll Shocker

New York still loves Rudy. Sort of. Former Mayor Rudy Giuliani would trounce current Mayor Michael Bloomberg in a primary for governor, according to the results of a new poll released yesterday. Giuliani, who dropped out of the GOP presidential race early this year, led Bloomberg 63 to 28 per cent in the city, 63 to 18 per cent upstate and 58 to 36 per cent in the suburbs. But the same poll also showed that Giuliani would be defeated in a general election by either of two Democratic candidates - Gov. Paterson or Attorney General Andrew Cuomo.
