A 15-year-old boy was shot in the torso by a police officer in Brooklyn Thursday afternoon, according to police.
Police say two officers had approached the teen outside a housing complex in Brownsville after someone informed them the teen had a gun.
The teen ran from cops and was shot. The reason for the shooting is under investigation.
Police say a weapon was recovered.
The teen was taken to Kings County Hospital in stable condition.
