Police Seeking Attacker in Subway Sucker Punch: NYPD

Police are looking for a man who sucker punched a subway rider in the face before running off the train in Queens, authorities said Saturday.

The attacker, wearing a pink polo shirt and striped shorts, walked up to his victim without uttering a word, then struck him with a closed fist as the southbound R train approached the 63rd Drive stop in Rego Park, according to the NYPD. Police released the information two weeks after the attack, which happened shortly before midnight on Aug. 23.

The victim, a 20-year-old man, suffered a bloody nose and a cut to his upper lip. He was not hospitalized, police said.
