Police Probe Death of Injured Man Found in Brooklyn

Police are investigating the death of a Brooklyn man 10 days after he was hospitalized with cuts to his head after emergency workers were called to help him.

The New York Police Department says 50-year-old Julius Howard died Sunday at a hospital. He'd been taken there May 19, after emergency workers got a call of a man needing help on Nostrand Avenue and Prospect Place in Crown Heights.

Police say he was highly intoxicated and was taken to the hospital, where staffers noticed he was bleeding from the head.

Medical examiners haven't yet determined his cause of death.
