A small plane made an emergency landing on Jones Beach Monday afternoon.
The Federal Aviation Administration said the Cessna 150 landed on the beach in Point Lookout about nine miles from JFK Airport around 2:20 p.m. after experiencing an problem related to the aircraft's engine.
The plane was heading to MacArthur Airport in Islip from an airport in Maryland.
There were two people aboard the plane, but no injuries have been reported.
The FAA is investigating the incident.
