A northern New Jersey mechanic who was pinned underneath a car that fell off a lift last week has died.
NJ.com reports 32-year-old Gabriel Feliciano Gomez died Monday at a Newark hospital.
The Elizabeth man worked at Benner's Auto Body in Cranford and was in critical condition after a Mercedes he was working on became dislodged from its lift and pinned him underneath it.
The Occupational Safety and Health Administration is investigating the incident.
The auto shop declined to comment.
