A 54-year-old woman is dead after she was hit by a Nassau County bus.
The accident happened at about 8 p.m. Saturday in the Jamaica section of Queens.
New York City police say the woman was crossing Merrick Boulevard when she was struck by a Nassau Inter-County Express Bus.
The victim was pronounced dead at the scene. Her name was not immediately released.
Police say no criminality is suspected but the investigation is ongoing.
