A man is dead after being hit by a tractor-trailer in Brooklyn, police say.
The man was hit just after 3:30 a.m. in Canarsie at Flatlands Avenue and East 80th Street by the truck that remained at the scene, according to officials.
Authorities responded where they found the man on the pavement. He was taken to an area hospital, where he was pronounced dead, authorities said.
Investigators said the man was crossing the street when he was struck by the truck traveling southbound of Flatlands Avenue.
His name hasn't been released.
No arrests have been made. The NYPD's Highway Collision Investigation Squad is investigating.
