    Meeting Veterans’ Special Needs in Hospice

    A 36-year-old pedestrian died Sunday after being hit by a car on a Long Island road.

    Christopher Noselli was walking in the eastbound lanes of Veterans Memorial Highway near Old Townline Road in Hauppauge at about 9:20 p.m. when he was struck by a 2006 Nissan Murano that was traveling eastbound on Veterans Memorial Highway, police said.

    He was taken to St. Catherine of Siena Medical Center in Smithtown where he died.

    The driver, 25-year-old Laura Escobar, was uninjured.

    No charges have been filed. Police are asking anyone with information to call detectives at 631-854-8452.
