Forty patients were moved after a fire at a hospital in Queens early Wednesday, the FDNY says.
Fire broke out on the eighth floor of St. Johns Episcopal Hospital in the Rockaways about 1:30 a.m., the department says. Other details are unknown, but the fire was brought under control in less than an hour.
The floor is being ventilated, the FDNY says. It’s not known whether there were any injuries in the blaze.
