A Paramus High School student collapsed in a teacher's arms after asking to see the nurse and later died at the hospital, officials say.
School Superintendent Joseph Lupo says the nurse and another faculty member alternated CPR and the nurse even used a defibrillator to try to revive 18-year-old Eric Micheo.
Micheo's cause of death has not been determined.
The Record newspaper reports he was president of an animal rights student club and a member of the wrestling team.
