Papa John's Chairman Resigns Following Admission of Racial Remark

After admitting to using a racial slur in a May conference call, John Schnatter resigned from his position as Chairman of the Board of Papa John's, the company said in a press release. In a written statement published to their website, Papa John's said the company would move to appoint a new chairman in the coming weeks. The company said Olivia Kirtley would act as the company's Lead Independent Director. Schnatter, the company's founder, admitted to using the N-word during a conference call in May following a Forbes report on the incident. Forbes said Schnatter used the N-word during a media training exercise. When asked how he would distance himself from racist groups, Schnatter reportedly complained that Colonel Sanders never faced a backlash for using the word.

Stormy Daniels Arrested While Performing, Charged With Sex Offenses

Adult film actress Stormy Daniels was arrested in Ohio, court records show. She was charged with three counts of misdemeanor sex offenses and is set to appear in court. Daniels' lawyer Michael Avenatti first announced her arrest on Twitter, saying she had been arrested at an Ohio strip club and is accused of letting patrons touch her, which is a violation of a state law. Avenatti says during the performance, some patrons touched her in a "non-sexual" way. An Ohio law prohibits anyone who isn't a family member to touch a nude or semi-nude dancer. Avenatti called the arrest a "complete set up." He says she was arrested inside the club.

Trump Arrives for 2nd Day of Summit, Continues to Rail Against NATO

President Trump renewed his pressure tactics on fellow NATO nations to increase their defense spending, calling out U.S. allies on Twitter as he attended a second day of meetings with leaders of the military alliance. In a series of tweets from Brussels, Trump said "Presidents have been trying unsuccessfully for years to get Germany and other rich NATO Nations to pay more toward their protection from Russia." He complained the United States "pays tens of Billions of Dollars too much to subsidize Europe" and demanded that member nations meet their pledge to spend 2 percent of GDP on defense, which "must ultimately go to 4%!" Trump has taken an aggressive tone during the NATO summit, questioning the value of an alliance that has defined decades of American foreign policy, torching an ally and proposing a massive increase in European defense spending.

NYC Officials Say They're Investigate Legionnaires' Disease Cluster

City officials say they are investigating a cluster of Legionnaires’ disease in upper Manhattan after eight people have been diagnosed with the disease in the last seven days. The outbreak cluster is in Lower Washington Heights and mostly involves individuals older than 50, although there are some younger than 40 years old, Health Department officials said. All individuals diagnosed with Legionnaires have been hospitalized, with one already discharged. There are no deaths associated with this cluster. Legionnaires’ disease is a type of pneumonia that is caused by the bacteria Legionella, which tends to grow in warm water.

She's now officially one hot mama. Cardi B announced on Instagram she has given birth to her daughter, Kulture Kiari Cephus. The rapper revealed the big news along with a pregnancy pic of herself in a massive floral arrangement, a bit reminiscent of a picture Beyoncé posted during her own pregnancy. The pic revealed her baby's name and that her daughter was born. Just last month, the rapper revealed she had secretly wed her longtime beau Offset. Their daughter's name appears to be a nod toward Offset's last two albums with the rap group Migos... "Culture" and "Culture II."

2nd Suspect in Murder of Rapper XXXTentacion Arrested

Boatwright was arrested on July 5th on unrelated drug charges, and was charged in XXXTentacion's murder. He was being held without bond Wednesday and attorney information wasn't available. Authorities have already arrested 22-year-old Dedrick Devonshay Williams in the fatal shooting of the rapper, who was ambushed by two gunmen outside Riva Motorsports in Deerfield Beach.
