Pair Arrested for Stealing Luxury Bags From JFK

Port Authority Police say two people have been arrested for allegedly stealing two designer handbags from inside a woman's luggage at JFK Airport.

The pair worked for a luggage recovery service and allegedly returned missing baggage to a woman traveling from London, but the baggage they returned was missing two bags, made by Chanel and Hermes, valued together at $40,000.

Port Authority detectives found the bags in question for sale on eBay and found that the sellers were the workers for the luggage recovery service.

The suspects have been arrested and charged with grand larceny and criminal possession of stolen property.
