    Pablo Escobar Wanted for Snatching Gold Chain: Police

    Authorities say a man whose name happens to be the same as the infamous Colombian drug lord snatched a 4-year-old girl’s gold chain in Queens. (Published Saturday, Aug. 13, 2016)

    Pablo Escobar is once again a wanted man.

    Authorities say a man whose name happens to be the same as the infamous Colombian drug lord allegedly snatched a 4-year-old girl’s gold chain in Queens on Friday.

    Police say the girl was standing in Won Won Laundromat in Astoria around 7:15 p.m. when the suspect robbed the girl.

    Witnesses identified the suspect as 22-year-old Pablo Escobar, according to police. He was described as 5'6" tall, 160 pounds, with long brown hair and brown eyes. Police also say he is known to frequent Ravenswood, Queensbridge, and Dutch Kills Park.

    Police released surveillance video of the incident, as well as a mug shot of Pablo Escobar from his most recent arrest on Friday, July 22, 2016, for intent to fraud.
