Police Release Video of Oheka Castle Shooting

Suffolk County authorities have released surveillance footage of the shooting outside a famed Long Island venue in 2014 that left its owner injured.

Footage from the shooting in March 2014 shows the owner of Huntington's iconic Oheka Castle, Gary Melius, walking toward his car in the parking lot. After he gets in the vehicle, a masked assailant is seen sneaking up on Melius's car, eventually getting to the driver's side window.

That's when authorities say the gunman shot Melius. Video after the shooting shows the gunman fumble something in his hands before slinking back off to a Jeep Cherokee.

The release of the video comes a year after Melius offered a $100,000 reward for help finding the gunman. In the video, Melius also a political opponent and news coverage. The man has publicly suspected political rivals for the shooting.

Police on Wednesday said the FBI had been asked to aid in the investigation. Sources previously told NBC 4 New York that Melius' son was questioned in the shooting.

The oldest member of the Jonas Brothers, Kevin Jonas, was married at the 109,000-square-foot French-style chateau in 2009. Former President Bill Clinton officiated the wedding of Anthony Weiner, ex- congressman and mayoral candidate, at the castle in 2010.
