Police are investigating how a car landed upside down in the Passaic River in New Jersey, injuring a man inside who had to be extricated from the vehicle.
Garfield police said officers were called to the area of River Drive and Midland Avenue shortly after 3:30 p.m. for a car off the roadway into the river.
A man was extricated from the vehicle and taken to an area trauma center with non-life threatening injuries.
Chopper 4 over the scene showed the car being successfully lifted from the river and turned right side up.
