Linden's Democratic Committee chairman has told a councilman he's no longer welcome at the table.
Councilman John "Jack" Sheehy is being kicked out of the Linden Democratic Organization for supporting and campaigning for independent City Council candidates and Republican John McCain.
Committee chairman Charles Crane says the parent organization decides who gets expelled. Crane says letters have also been sent to others who served independent candidates.
Sheehy says he's a nonpartisan who doesn't owe anyone any favors.
