A Paterson police officer was injured after she was involved in a shooting early Saturday morning, authorities said.
According to Paterson Police Director Jerry Speziale, the officer suffered non-life-threatening injuries in the shooting around 5:30 a.m. on North 3rd Street.
It's not yet clear how the officer was injured or if anyone else was hurt.
Speziale said police are investigating whether the shooting is connected to another shooting that left three Paterson residents injured while standing outside of a house. All three of those men were treated and released from a hospital.
