Occupy Wall Street Considers Sending Reps to Egypt

The movement has been going on for two months.

TheOccupy Wall Street movement

in New York is considering an invitation for some of its members to help monitor the elections in Egypt.

The invitation came from a civil rights coalition in Egypt.

Occupy Wall Street's General Assembly has already approved the use of $29,000 for the trip. But it's not a done deal.

According to Rabbi Chaim Gruber, splinter groups were still discussing the proposal on Monday afternoon.

Gruber heads a working group called Solidarity. Its goal is to resolve any tensions arising in New York's Zuccotti Park encampment.

The movement has hundreds of thousands of dollars in its communal fund, which comes from donations.
