NY High School Security Guard Accused of Threatening to Blow Up School

The Nyack High School guard was arrested on May 22

A high school security guard in New York is accused of threatening to blow up the school, police said Wednesday.

Clarkstown Police say the guard, Kenneth Carter, made the comment to a coworker on May 22. He allegedly said he was going to go home, get his guns and blow up the school.

Police say the coworker alerted others, and police came to the school. Carter was arrested, and police say he did not have any guns on him.

He has been arraigned on a felony charge of making a terroristic threat and is out on $1,000 bond. There was no attorney information for him.

Nyack Superintendent Jim Montesano said the children were never in danger. He said Carter is not working at the school now.
