Normal Service Resuming on LIRR

Normal service is returning to the Long Island Railroad after a week of disruptions due to a derailed freight train.

The railroad also is adding trains Monday afternoon due to the Passover observance, which begins at sunset.

Salvatore Arena told Newsday "We're on target. Everything should be back to normal'' on Monday.

The derailment occurred last Monday west of Jamaica, Queens.
