Normal A Train Service Resumes After Train Derails

The MTA said Sunday that service was back to normal on the A, C and D lines

Service is back on track on the A train after a derailment spurred the evacuation of dozens of passengers.

The MTA said Sunday that service was back to normal on the A, C and D lines.

A train on the southbound A line lost a wheel and derailed on Manhattan's Upper West Side just after 9 a.m. Saturday.

The passengers had to board another train that backed up to the stranded one. They were brought to the Columbus Circle station.

No one was injured.
