Man Pleads Not Guilty to Killing Wife in Salon

Kenny could face up to life in prison if convicted.

A court document says a parolee admitted he'd stabbed his estranged wife as he unleashed an ugly rant to Maryland police who arrested him on charges of killing her in a Manhattan salon.

Michael Kenny is being held without bail after pleading not guilty Thursday to murder in Denise Kenny's March 10 death. His lawyer had no immediate comment.

Prosecutors say the 42-year-old went with his wife to the salon where she worked. They say she gave him a haircut and a shave before he attacked her in the bathroom. He was arrested the next day after leading police on a five-mile chase near Millersville, Md.

A document filed Thursday says he asked police whether his wife was OK, then said he'd stabbed her seven times.

Kenny could face up to life in prison if convicted.
