Help is on the way to address long lines and long wait times for travelers at Newark Liberty Airport.
The Transportation Security Administration is adding 120 more agents at the airport by the end of the month.
U.S. Sens. Bob Menendez and Cory Booker and fellow Democratic Congressmen Albio Sires and Donald Payne announced the changes with TSA officials during a news conference Monday.
"People have choices," said Booker. "We want them to choose Newark."
Twenty-five agents have already started and another 95 will be hired by June. K-9 units will also be deployed to help move lines along faster.
The TSA also wants to open a pre-check center in Newark's Terminal C so travelers who enroll can be processed more quickly.
Menendez says he's lobbying airlines to suspend checked baggage fees for the summer to help reduce congestion at security checkpoints.

Still, some passengers told NBC 4 New York on Monday that they'd be showing up early for summer flights.
"We will generally show up early to avoid hassles and delays," said Robin Germany.
