Dog Thrown From Moving Car in Queens: Veterinarians

A six-year-old dog was thrown from a moving vehicle Thursday night in Queens, according to the clinic treating the animal.

The clinic, BluePearl Veterinary Partners in Queens, says a TV news crew brought them the female Rottweiler after she was tossed from the car near Cyprus Avenue and Vermont Place near Mt. Judah Cemetery. The clinic said the FDNY also responded to the scene.

The pooch, which they've nicknamed Dasher, is currently getting oxygen therapy, heat support, IV fluids and anti-seizure medication. She’s also scheduled to get full-body X-rays Friday afternoon.

It’s not clear if the dog will survive.
