A Long Island man who won $1 million in a lottery scratch-off game in 2012 has hit the jackpot again, this time taking home another $1 million prize in the state's "Win $1,000 a week for life" game.
Bruce Magistro, of Lindenhurst, claimed a ceremonial check for $1,000 Wednesday morning after hitting a "win for life" jackpot on a scratch-off ticket.
In 2012, he hit a million dollar prize on a "Extreme Cash" lottery game.
The jackpot was even less likely, Magistro said, because he rarely plays such cheap lotto games.
“I usually buy $5, $10 tickets, never played a $2, and I bought $20 worth of $2 tickets and the second one I bought was a winner. “
His second jackpot, Magistro said, is not going to stop him from playing the New York lottery.
“Hopefully third time's a charm,” Magistro said.
