3 NYC Employees Arrested on Criminal Contempt, Assault, Fraud Charges: NYPD

Three off-duty New York City employees were arrested this week, police say

Two off-duty New York City firefighters and an off-duty Housing Authority employee were arrested in separate incidents involving assault, criminal contempt and welfare fraud this week, police said.

A 42-year-old FDNY firefighter was arrested on Staten Island Tuesday morning after he allegedly called his ex-girlfriend, who has a restraining order against him, according to police. 

A 49-year-old FDNY firefighter was arrested in Brooklyn Wednesday morning for allegedly assaulting a post office worker, slapping the victim on duty, police said. He faces a second-degree assault charge. 

Also Wednesday, a 34-year-old Housing Authority worker was arrested on charges of grand larceny and welfare fraud after she allegedly gave false information about her income in order to receive subsidized housing.
