Police are looking for four boys who they made derogatory statements to a 14-year-old and then attacked the teen in a New Jersey neighborhood.
The assailants, all between 14 and 15 years old, allegedly accosted and attacked a fellow teen as the teen was walking in a Ridgefield Park neighborhood on Tuesday afternoon, police say.
Police say the suspects made derogatory comments about the teen’s perceived sexual orientation, then attacked.
The boys ran off after the attack, and police say the victim only sustained minor injuries.
The attack is being investigated as a bias crime.
