Passenger Claims Cabbie Sexually Assaulted Him for Using Cellphone in Cab: Prosecutor

Prosecutors are investigating a New Jersey man's claim that a cab driver sexually assaulted him after the driver allegedly got angry when he talked on his cellphone while a passenger in the vehicle, authorities say.

The passenger alleged the cab driver in Jersey City forced him to perform oral sex on him and touch his leg in the taxi near the corner of Sip and Summit avenues at about 2:30 a.m., according to the Hudson County Prosecutor's Office.

In police radio transmissions published on Broadcastify.com, a 911 dispatcher tells Jersey City police: "The victim claims that a cab driver made him have oral sex with him and touched his leg for, uh, using his cellphone."

The victim told police he didn't know the name of the taxi company, according to the transmissions.

Prosecutors say the investigation is in its early stages.
