The statue of a naked Hillary Clinton with cloven hooves that prompted a near brawl in the streets when it popped up near the Bowling Green subway station last week has reemerged, this time in Union Square.
The statue was spotted Monday afternoon. It appeared to be the same effigy that was installed in Bowling Green last Tuesday, featuring the Democratic presidential nominee wearing an open blouse with a man in a suit -- reportedly a Wall Street banker -- reaching from behind to smooch the sculpture's chest.
No commotion was immediately reported around the statue. Video from the scene showed smirking bystanders taking photos of the sculpture.
Last week, it caused chaos. A video posted to Instagram showed a woman knocking over the statue before sitting on it. The Instagram user who posted the video said that the woman threatened to attack a man who tried to pick the effigy back up.
The statue was removed after a few hours.
Zachary Cedarbaum, a spokesman for the group of artists that created the statue said last week that the statue is officially titled "The Empress Has No Shame" and that the sculptors had varying political views.
Cedarbaum said the artists were staying anonymous because they feared backlash for the work.

The fracas comes after several statues of a naked Donald Trump were placed around the country -- including in Union Square.

One of those statues was later placed on a roof in Jersey City, welcoming drivers as they headed toward the Lincoln Tunnel.
After the Trump statue was placed in Union Square, the city Parks Department said in a statement that "NYC Parks stands firmly against any unpermitted erection in city parks, no matter how small."
