Wilton police say 34-year-old John Rodas, of Gardiner, New York, was taken to a hospital with a life-threatening head injury after Sunday's incident on Route 7.
The driver told officers a naked man jumped into the back of his truck.
Police say the man later jumped out while the truck was moving and landed in the road.
A prosecutor says a burning charcoal grill caused the deaths of a woman and three children whose bodies were found in a car in upstate New York.
