Police are searching for a woman in connection to an alleged robbery that took place in a Bronx department store that ended with her spraying a liquid in the face of an employee and fleeing the scene.
According to NYPD, the unidentified woman was allegedly seen inside a Macy's located at 1441 Metropolitan Avenue removing merchandise from the store's shelves and trying to leave without paying. The alleged incident took place on May 21, 2018 shortly before 8 p.m., according to authorities.
Police say that a 46-year-old employee approached her and was sprayed in the eyes with a liquid, which caused pain and discomfort.
The unidentified woman allegedly fled the location with merchandise valued at $414.
The store employee refused medical attention of scene.
The unidentified woman is about 30 years of age, 5'7" and has a medium build. She was last seen wearing a blue jean jacket and dark pants, according to authorities.
