An investigation is underway into a chase between a police cruiser and a car that was driving the wrong way in East Harlem Saturday morning.
According to police and witnesses the chase ended with a car crash near Second Avenue and East 116th Street.
Police say one car going the wrong way collided with another vehicle. Two suspects were taken to an area hospital and are listed in stable condition.
Two police officers, who were not injured, were taken to Cornell Hospital for observation.
Witnesses described a possible shootout between the suspects and police. Authorities say two handguns were found at the scene.
