NYPD Officers Deliver Baby in Brooklyn

A couple of officers in Brooklyn jumped into action after being flagged down by a man who said his wife was going into labor.

The two cops with the 69th Precinct were in Canarsie when another driver stopped them at 105th Street and Flatlands Avenue. The officers opened the passenger door and saw the man’s wife reclined and having a baby, police said.

During the delivery, police say the baby’s umbilical cord was wrapped around the baby’s neck. The officers were able to untangle it and get the baby out safely. The mother and baby were then taken to nearby hospital.

The Precinct posted an update on its Twitter page saying the two officers did a great job and that the mother and baby Benjamin are doing well.
