Teen Charged in East Harlem Shooting That Killed 1, Injured 2: NYPD

A Bronx 18-year-old has been charged in a shooting in East Harlem last week that left one person dead and injured two others, police say.

Raheem Barnes has been charged with murder, robbery, multiple gun crimes and two counts each of attempted murder and felony assault.

Police say that he is the person who allegedly shot and killed 22-year-old Terry Nathaniel and wounded two others at Lexington Avenue and East 122 Street early on July 15.

Nathaniel and one of the other victims were sitting in a parked Honda Accord when they were shot, police say. The third victim was standing nearby.

Nathaniel was pronounced dead at the scene, and the other two men were taken to St. Luke's-Roosevelt Hospital Center in stable condition.

It's not clear if Barnes has an attorney.
