NYC Woman Accused of Trying to Defraud Long Island Bank

A New York City woman has been arrested on charges of attempting to defraud a Long Island bank.

Sabrina Spencer, of Manhattan, pleaded not guilty Sunday to attempted grand larceny, identity theft and possessing a forged instrument and resisting arrest.

Suffolk County police say Spencer presented fake identification while attempting to withdraw money at a Bank of America branch in Hyde Park on Saturday.

According to Newsday, while the bank manager was verifying the identification, police say Spencer left the bank and hid in the rear of a nearby home. When officers approached her, police say she began "flailing her arms and kicking the officers."

Spencer was held at $10,000 bond or $5,000 cash.

It wasn't immediately known if she had a lawyer.
