Dense Fog Rolls Over Tri-State

Afternoon showers dampened parts of the tri-state area Thursday ahead of a November Friday that may see record temperatures in much of the region, according to Storm Team 4.

Heavy fog blanketed New York City, much of southeast New York and southern Connecticut earlier in the morning, prompting a dense fog advisory to be issued. The fog burned off before lunch, making way for mostly cloudy skies and temperatures around the 70-degree mark in the city.

It's forecast to be in the low-to-mid 70s with a breeze on Friday, a record high for this time of year. Areas of dense fog hovered over the area before a breeze picked up in the afternoon.

Temperatures will start to drop Saturday, with highs in the low 60s and Sunday will feel more like fall, with a high of 55 degrees and breezier weather in the forecast.

Expect plenty of sunshine and temperatures in the mid-to-high-50s early next week.
