The warm weather that stifled the tri-state area much of this week won't let up this weekend, but a dip in humidity should provide some relief, Storm Team 4 says.
The humidity dropped dramatically Friday and skies were mostly sunny with temperatures in the mid 80s. Temps are expected to fall into the mid and upper 60s Friday night, with a high of around 70 degrees.
Temperatures will rise again Saturday and Sunday, according to Storm Team 4. Saturday should be a nice day apart from the heat, with mostly sunny skies and temperatures in the high 80s. Sunday could be uncomfortably hot, as humidity begins to rise and temperatures reach the 90s in northeast New Jersey and NYC. The rest of the tri-state area will see temperatures in the upper 80s under mostly sunny skies.
The chance for scattered afternoon thunderstorms returns next week as the humidity continues to rise. The highest chance of thunderstorms is on Tuesday and Wednesday, when temperatures will also be at their hottest, Storm Team 4 says. Expect temperatures in the mid 80s towards the beginning of the week, peaking in the upper 80s on Wednesday.
Skies should be mostly sunny by Thursday, when temperatures will fall back down to the low to mid 80s.
